50th Reunion
I served in the US Navy from 1960 to 1964 on USS Oklahoma then attended college on the GI Bill in California while working in various management positions at Safeway Stores, Inc. in Northern California. I retired from Safeway in 1997 after 32 years. Wife, Marsue (married 48 years) is still in the workforce with Charles Schwab in Human Resources at the Headquarters in San Francisco. We live in a former mining village, Clayton, Calif. situated at the base of Mt. Diablo, close to San Francisco and voted one of the 100 best places to live in Fortune Magazine.
My hobbies are horseback riding my two Arabian horses, Kema and Star, on Mt. Diablo, gardening, reading, fishing, hiking, bicycle riding, community volunteering and traveling to visit daughter, Dawn (Jerry), high school teacher in Seattle, Wash., granddaughter, Sarah (Reed), teacher in Portland, Ore., great-grandsons, Jack and Saul, daughter, Susan (Bill), volunteer work in Queen Creek, Ariz., grandsons: Justin and Ryan, college students, son, Michael (Rebecca), Financial Advisor in Phoenix, Ariz., and their three children: two sons, Michael (12) and Landon (6), daughter, Morgan (9).
We have been fortunate to take a few trips to Europe as well as to areas of the United States to see family and friends over the years. We hope to be able to continue traveling to our list of places to see.
Regretfully, we won't be able to attend the reunion. We will be in Arizona for our grandson's birthday. |
