2005 Newsletter
Laszlo and I have two children and six grandchildren. Our son and his four children live near us (actually, on the adjacent 5 acres :-), the other two granddaughters live with our daughter and her husband in Bartlesville, Okla. Just 2 hours 10 minutes from our home near Wichita.  Now that I told all this I feel like a much better mother and grandmother!

2004 Reunion
Family: Husband Laszlo
Notes of my life: Quit teaching full time but missed it and now has two sections of Art Ed at Wichita State University. Reconnected with Sharon McHenry in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Current Activities: Enjoys traveling with husband who does research and training.

50th Reunion
I retired in 2004 from full time at First American Title, where I was the Vice President of the Kansas Corporation. I continued working in a consulting capacity until July 2006.
space
Since that time, I have traveled some — three trips to Mexico, and the rest here in the United States. I keep busy with family and friends, and until recently, I volunteered at the hospital.
space
My free time at home is spent reading — the thing I enjoy most about retirement. (That and not having to “dress” for work!)
space
I have three children and five grandchildren.

2004 Reunion

50th Reunion
Married 39 years to Lois Saunders. I studied at and worked for KU as a research assistant until 1970 when I married Lois Saunders of Storm Lake, Iowa. I stayed at KU as a writer, editor, research associate, and systems analyst while earning a PhD in Child Development in 1976. After that, I pursued a career in information technology and retired in 1999.
We now live in Olathe near our two children and three grandchildren. I spend much of my time gardening: Member K-State Extension Master Gardeners since 1995. We manage a 1-acre home site with large cutting and vegetable gardens.

2004 Reunion
Family: Wife Lois, 2 children
Notes of my life: Wonder wife, kids, home and friends
Current Activities: Gardening, reading, wine-making
Plans for the future: Move to Johnson County and spoil the grandchildren
Memories from Lawrence High Days: Meeting every kind of person there is at high school

50th Reunion
I feel happy with the life I’ve lived. Although married and divorced twice, those “accumulated 25 years” provided me with a wonderful son, careers as a radio DJ, speech and hearing assistant, and 23 years in the music publishing businesses in Springfield, Mo., Nashville, Tenn., and Branson, Mo.
space
After returning to college to get a Masters in Education, I taught 7th grade for only two years (loved the teaching and kids, hated the administrative paperwork). For the following six years, I was an executive assistant to the owner of Kanakuk Kamps in the Branson area. Post getting my son through KU, I “left home” to join the Peace Corps in 2000 and served in Macedonia.
space
I’m currently living with and caring for my mom in Lawrence. I have one grandson.

2004 Reunion
Family: 1 son and a new grandchild
Notes of my life: B.A. and M.Ed. and taught for two years. In the music business for 20+ years. Executive assistant. Peace Corps in Macedonia
Current Activities: Working in brother Kent’s optometry office, caring for Mother
Plans for the future: Eventually re-enter the Peace Corps and do lots of traveling.
Memories from Lawrence High Days: Trying to get enough starch in my petticoats, play practices with Mr. Denny and gang. The football team never losing a game. Trying to do a forward roll in gym but never making it happen.

50th Reunion
Married to Jack Bashlor for 49 years and have three children and six grandchildren.
It has been my privilege to live in the “space-age” for my married years. I have probably seen every manned flight lift off the launch pad — exciting! Never dreamed that I would end up in Florida and get to raise my family here. When the “kids” left me with an empty nest I decided to get a real estate license and enjoyed selling homes for 22 years. Now that retirement has set in I enjoy reading, yard work — yes even when it is hot and humid, church activities, and exercise — walking and swimming. Plans for the future are to stay healthy and active as long as possible.
